En la estela de Chesterton convertido en ferviente católico e intrépido escritor gracias al padre John O’Connor, otro padre pero de nuestros días llamado Pablo d’Ors profesa un oficio de escritor con esa franja de lo católico como horizonte. Y que el asunto acabe siendo inapreciable en ambos casos, si sólo nos dedicamos a su literatura de ficción sin otros condicionantes, habla muy a favor de un catolicismo intachable.

Sí señores. Más que algunos (y no es que yo sea un católico convencido precisamente), tipos como Pablo d’Ors hacen que el catolicismo se mueva en sintonía con los tiempos. Está claro que en su vertiente ensayística, la ideología de Pablo d’Ors aborda lo espiritual bajo los parámetros de su fe. Pero se trata de eso, de ensayos, por cierto muy bien acogidos por la crítica, donde el autor hurga en su propio imaginario para aportar su clarividencia, para encontrar soluciones o para lanzar proyecciones de ideas al menos…, de eso trata el pensamiento libre.

Toda religión necesita siempre una adaptación en el tiempo. En lo que respecta a los educados en el catolicismo, por ejemplo las parábolas pueden ser símbolos orientadores pero están totalmente desfasadas en su imaginario más preciso. Por eso nunca está de más que alguien como Pablo se devane los sesos para traer al presente lo que de positivo tiene una religión de cara a la construcción del individuo desde dentro.
